UNSC Resolution 1540: Non-proliferation of WMD

United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 1540 was adopted unanimously on April 28, 2004 concerning the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), in particular to prevent the spread of WMD to non-state actors.

Rio Declaration on Environment and Development (1992)

The Rio Declaration on Environment was adopted at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in June 1992. The Rio Declaration is a statement of 27 principles upon which nations agreed to base their actions in dealing with environmental and development issues.
